We can subsute the core of the mattress for a 32 ILD latex core or a Natural Dunlap latex core for no extra charge. Above the latex core is our zipper cover. This cover allows you access to the comfort layer latex. This latex is what we exchange if the mattress is to firm or soft. The denser the latex the firmer the mattress will feel. The total thickness of the mattress is about 10 inces thick. The Ultimate Dreams Total Latex Mattress also uses an organic wool to meet the federal fire retardant guidelines.
